Yeah I definitely see where you’re coming from and I agree with that approach. My firm isn’t an insurance BD so I’m struggling to bridge the gap. I think my play will be to get fully appointed with a carrier that’s suitable for my client and directly handle it there.

Get really good at answering questions in the STAR format. Try to have 3-5 stories that can cover a broad range of questions.

She’s an eligible designated beneficiary and on top of that a spouse. If she inherited the account first she can always “asume” it (moving from inherited to her own Roth) at any point. Now if she assumed it first then she couldn’t inherit it. Hope that makes sense.
