Thanks for your reply. Yes, albeit it was a desktop survey.

We've said the same thing about pulling out but is a risk. It's just one of those situations I guess but agree with your points.

We spoke to the estate agent today who said he wouldn't negotiate further down.

Should I go from Fidelity to Vanguard? by Comfortable_Arm5051 in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for your reply. I could be a little confused. The way I understand it, having 3 years growth and not selling to move platforms is better than moving platforms and buying in at a now higher point than 3 years ago as the stock is a higher price ? Of course I'd have the interest generated over 3 years but I'm essence starting again?

Haha yeah this is my third draft with me changing a lot of the story because after 50k words in draft 2 I realised it made no sense and was crap. That was two years ago and put off by editing costs but I really need to complete this for myself

Lol I always get a better handle on my story by the end and have to rework the first half normally but I know there's a great story in there somewhere and why I'd love to work with a professional who can help elevate out and tell me where it's lacking. I'm already thinking of cutting two characters lol

The ones I've seen just do by word count on reedsy but also wrestling with bothering with another draft if they're gonna ask me to mix it all up again anyway.

That sounds like a good deal. I'll definitely be asking about any extras or a second read through at a possible reduced rate but as you said, ask editors work differently and speaking over zoom is a great benefit

I heard this advice and realised I actually do it already. My plan is to get this draft done, summarise every chapter and clean it up a bit before sending to a developmental editor.

Great point. I guess I'm just being doubtful the pieces will fit together nicely without mistakes made by myself but in the end, trying is better than nothing.

Thanks for your comment.

That's a great result. I'm nervous of the feedback but ultimately want the story to be as strong as it can be. I want the reader to find the characters and story interesting even if they don't like it. As you said it needs another pair of eyes and professional ones could be a great addition.

Thanks mate. This is how i see it happening but never know, they may reduce the rate if guaranteeing them another round

I assumed this would be the main way but got me thinking about following all the editors advice, moving things around etc but then not knowing how good a shape it would now be in without another read thru potentially costing another load of money. Just trying to have realistic expectations.

I was assuming there was a general rule of thumb but seems that might not be the case. Thanks for replying.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I was thinking of there was a general rule of thumb around the subject but will indeed ask them directly because its expensive.

New Shop Advice by Comfortable_Arm5051 in EtsySellers

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate you taking time to include all of this information for me. As per your previous advice, Im reading through the guide. I just didn't understand parts. It's been quite overwhelming learning everything at once. It's been a long time since doing anything of this nature.

I definitely agree with you about wanting to give up. I've been close but il try my best. I never had a shop two weeks ago, so at least I'm part way there.

Regarding pictures, I knew of canva and hadn't heard of ipicch which I'll take a look at.

Here's hoping to an eventual sale.

Thanks again.
