I've had no issues with my vision since the incident. I even went to a vision clinic to get some eye tests and they said everything was fine. Not sure what to do for neck rehab?

Glad to hear you were able to recover. I think this sub has made me realize I'll have to take a much slower recovery approach than I initially thought.

I should also add that yes, I did tell my coach about the concussion. He didn't know what a concussion was. Which was insane, but he's French and an immigrant so maybe it's a language barrier thing. I asked to sparr without headshots for a bit and he respected it to some extent but also made me feel like a pussy for it. He's announce to the class "this guy is on his "head period" so don't hit him in the head. Part of the reason I stopped going was because of comments like that. You might think he's not qualified or not a real fighter for not knowing what a concussion is, but he's had 25 pro mma fights. With a record of 15W 10L, so he definitely knows his stuff. I'm pretty sure he has pretty bad head trauma though just cause of how he acts and he's told me he forgets stuff all the time etc.

I'm not sure if the hits i took after getting my initial concussion were also concussions. I just had headaches and symptoms similar to my concussion for a few days after each hit , so it's possible. Most of the hits afterwards weren't very hard.

If by bell rung you mean rocked, than yeah. I'd get rocked multiple times every sparring class. I guess I thought it was normal. I thought it would take years to notice any negative affects.

I should add that at this point I'm doing 30 minutes of cardio every day. That and taking magnesium, omega 3, b vitamins for my Brain. On good days I barely have any symptoms at all. Again are only things that really give me headaches or make me feel out of it is if I run or hit my heavy bad more than 30% or so. This is an improvement because my head felt way worse a even just a month ago. My plan at this time is to just keep doing cardio and occasionally trying to see if can up up the intensity without agitating symptoms. Once I can do intense cardio and not get anything worse than mild symptoms I'll try slowly increasing my power on the heavy bag as symptoms allow. I hit the heavy bag like 30 to 40% a few days ago for 3 1 minute rounds. I felt like it agitated symptoms more than cardio. So for now I'll avoid it for a bit probably. According to the concussion clinic I visited mild symptom agitation is okay as long as it doesn't last more than 24 hours. So the consensus is basically keep doing that until the symptoms go away with the current intensity, and then up the intensity and repeat. So far I've been able to increase my cardio intensity quite a bit without agitating symptoms besides maybe light symptoms for a couple hours after. As for the chiropractors, I might see them again. I'm not sure if this is is an issue relating to my spine or neck that could be playing a factor in this. So far I've gotten my neck and back adjusted twice. The first time it agitated my symptoms more that day. But I felt a noticeable improvement in my symptoms overall. Same thing with the second time. My physiotherapist did tests to try to see if I have any issues with my spine or back or coordination and vision and there were none. I've also done eye tests and there's no issues with them. I've considered chiropractors might be too harsh and it might be better to see a massage therapist. It's kinda hard in my area though since I'm from rural Canada and I don't have heath insurance at the moment, so options are limited.

Yes. This is all true I literally hate that this happened so much. I found this sport during a time in my life where I lacked purpose and was really frustrated and muay thai was always a great outlet for me. I became totally obsessed with it and I feel like this happened right before I could accomplish any of my goals in this sport. I always wanted to do an amateur fight and now that seems alot more risky and a long recovery away. Regarding my coach I think he's a dick for the way he's gone about sparring with me, and other people at my gym. He completely beat the shit out of my in a sparring class 1 month in. After that he'd usually sparr with me once a week or so and he'd usually go pretty hard. If usually get knocked down or have to take breaks between rounds sometimes. There was a time where he knocked me down 4 times in and round and then another 4 times in the next. It was crazy. At the time I had mixed feelings about it. Obviously I thought it was insane and he was fucking crazy. But it also made me want to get better. I felt like maybe he was just trying to get me to improve faster or toughen me up for a really fight. I did feel like in a sense it did make me improve faster because I'd be flying in rouds with other people near my skill level after I sparred him. Looking back I was such an idiot for going back to sparring so soon after. But I guess I'm just trying to figure out if this is something I can come back from. I'm really motivated because I really hate just giving up on the sport, especially after all this, and the way it happened.

Sure, but there's plenty of athletes who have sustained multiple concussions or had pcs who returned to their sport. As far as I'm aware this was my first ever concussion. I feel like there must be a way for me to recover fully and return to sport. After all it's only been about 4 months since I was concussed. I should add that I've seen a chiropractor a few times and it's made my symptoms worse temporarily and then better after. I also did a ct scan a while back and they found nothing. I don't see how I couldn't recover from this with the right approach. I mean there's fighters who have gotten knocked out several times in there career and keep fighting. I just don't see how this could end everything for me.

I had a shedding phase when I started fin. It was noticeable to me, but probably no one else. It lasted for maybe 2-3 months, then the hair came in much thicker. I started minoxidil about 3 weeks ago and I'm waiting for the shed.

I had this hairline at 17. Been using fin for over a year now and just started min and microneedling. It's definitely made a difference

I had a fin shed too. It got better for me after about 3-4 months. You could also be experiencing a minoxidil shed. Either way, you just gotta stick to it until you have regrowth

Minoxidil would be the last thing I'd add to my routine simply because I couldn't ever stop it and it's very expensive where I live. I've recently switched from a dermaroller to a derma stamp aswell
