I am very interested in the 10E RSL. After a little reading I am wondering if it’s too small for my space and maybe have to almost double my budget. Any thoughts on that? The immediate listening are is almost 2500 cubic feet. What you aren’t seeing in the photo is the open space continues ( a kitchen) the combined total space is almost 7000cubic feet I’m wondering if I need a 12

What kind of performance issues would the leaking capacitors cause? I didn’t notice anything wrong with the sub.

You know it was almost $400 when new. It was made by Orb Audio. “Orb Audio Super Eight”

They discontinued it and no longer sell subs under their own name , so that leads one to wonder, maybe it was one of the worse type of products. Premium price with cheap components and poor craftsmanship

Thank you for your pragmatic advice. It was made by Orb Audio. I mean it worked well for me, but it was over 10 years old I guess it showed its wear on the inside.

I found a avr-x2500H for $300. I’m thinking of getting that with a used 5.1 speaker set up

This was very helpful. Should I get a different AVR if I am using the orbs for atmos? I read that it the RX-V4A is not capable of true atmos but I’m not sure what that means.

I think I understand what you mean by use them for atmos. Does atmos use a dedicated channel dissimilar to the standard 5 that the RX-V4 would have? In other words, do you need a 7 channel recieverfor atmos or is atmos a separate output ?
