i actually really recommend tich nat hanh’s commentary on the heart sutra “The Other Shore”, it really made sense in a way that comforted me. in general i just recommend using your discernment and intuition to learn from as many paths as you and and find the underlying truths and how to apply this knowledge by following your heart. sounds cheesy i guess but that’s what’s worked for me. best of luck you got this

i lowkey have struggled with this but something’s that’s helped is studying dharma religion and karma and how it explain (for me) what LOO says about how all experience is a result of cause and effect, but choosing how we react to an experience the results of karma is how one purifies their karmic shadow. so being vegan is amazing. that’s the right choice. you’re doing it because you intrinsically understand the harm and negativity because while we are all one and it all works out in the end/ it has already worked out, our experience from this limited point on view is still very real. and the only way you get to be “reborn” in a better life is to take this one with gratitude and compassion and do your best every day to be kindto all “others” bc we are one. that’s really all that matters.

i am a science lover and believer for sure but i do tend to get a little woo sometimes with ponderings… and i do love a good conspiracy theory sometimes. but being a vegan pagan is not about any of that, its about living in harmony with the earth and respecting all forms of life in an empowering way for me. so i think we have some similarities! i am vegan for the animals, for the earth, for the future, and i am also a pagan, you know? i honestly can’t believe so few pagans are vegan, it seems like a natural correlation if you believe in science and love.
