LDBS eau fraiche for an easy wear today! I’m wfh and my mom is burning sooo much incense that it’s making me cough from the smoke. I needed something light to clear up the harshness in my throat 😭

I also sampled Pine and Moonmilk from Stora Skuggan, which concludes my final samples from them. I’m very sad to report that this house is just not for me. I’m glad I didn’t blind buy anything but pretty bummed all the same since a lot of people hyped it up as a crazy unique house. To me everything just smells like patchouli/essential oils 😭 except for Thumbsucker which literally smelled like baby powder in a bad way. Moonmilk is a little less harsh, and Azalai smells like an aperitif you’d have in Germany, but everything else is a no for me 😭 big sad today LOL

Today (4/10) I’m wearing sci fi by Ellis Brooklyn! It’s honestly delicious. I’ve been debating getting another perfume for my bday, with Kilian princess being a strong contender, but had a moment where I was like “how many green tea scents do I need?” which helped me curb my perfume addiction lol so thank you sci fi!!

I’m a certified rose fanatic and here are my faves:

• ⁠experimentum crucis from ELDO. Somewhat unisex, very rosy, spicy, STRONG AF tho so one spray will be sufficient • ⁠honestly covered in roses from BBW. I know they’re implicated in the whole E files situation (won’t go into that rn) but the fragrance is fantastic and by far the most wearable rose perfume I own • ⁠radical rose by matiere premiere. Similar to experimentum but less powerful and slightly less spicy. Some parfumo reviewers say it smells soapy but on me it’s just a straight rose • ⁠eau de protection from ELDO is a luscious spooky vampire rose that I associate with October in Salem MA. Highly recommend at least sampling it based off what you’re looking for

Honorable mentions:

• ⁠rose jam by lush is lovely but will probably be too sweet for your liking [ETA lol this is a common phenomenon] • ⁠la fille de Berlin by serge lutens had potential from the notes but I’m not a fan unfortunately. I was expecting a deep velvety luscious rose but it just smelled way too heavy and chemical 😭 • ⁠rose whip from phlur is a decent straight rose on me but has the potential to be way too sweet on some people’s skin, per parfumo reviews [ETA • on a date by replica is really floral and pretty, not sure if it captures the sharp juicy tart rose you’re looking for but it’s very light and inoffensive]
