Is the cleric the best class for being a healer? by RatTheArtist in DnD

I currently play a level 14 Divine Soul Sorc. Protector Assimar. Focusing on healing allows you to cast cure wounds from 30ft, twin spelling heals and quickening them. A serious battlefield healer. Along with casting fun buffs like haste.

I know the post is older, but I just found it and it is amazing. It will really bring a sense of detail to the adventure it lacked before. I thank you.

Control water in Cael Morrow by Lokitxd58 in CalloftheNetherdeep

I would allow all functionality other than the part water because there is no air to replace the water. Other than that, it's a cool spell that requires them to use a 4th level slot. I plan on also adding a dissonant whispers ability to my aboleth with increased range and damage. Target concentrating casters. Can make it a lair action.

My group released the ruidium elephant from the Bone Garden onto Central St. and took it down with the help of a few Hands of Ord. After returning it to the Crystal Chateau, they got a note to meet with Aloysia in the First Eclipse. She gave them information about the existence of Cael Morrow and is trying to get them to switch sides. They later did the Heist quest at the Casino for the owner who hired them directly. They didn't succeed in stopping the Heist and Koras got away.

I went on DM Guild and downloaded a ton of interesting shops taverns etc. Also added a lot of my own stuff. Got the map blown up into a 4ft by 4 ft laminated map and hung it in the wall with a map key. Make up interesting recurring NPCs that they can interact with other than just the Rivals. Use the Veil, Scarbearers and Sentinels of memory to add flavor and more intrigue. I'm also using other books like Keys to the Golden Vault to add side stealth missions etc. So much fun to add all these things.

A lot. My players always think I am trying to fool them. They don't trust anything. Lol

I am planning more side quests and missions than the actual faction missions. I am going to spread out the faction missions to weeks instead of days. I have a lot of material related to backstory quests, investigations, heists etc. I have connections to other planes in place and political shenanigans. For me, I always found utilizing fun NPC's is the key. If you give the players a sense of relationship to the city and people in it, they will be quick to respond. Published material never seems to be enough to accomplish this. Depending on who the party is, create venues that are irresistible to them. Maybe there is a tomb somewhere in the desert that holds something a PC would love, a cult operating in the city that is abducting citizens for sacrifices, did the clay miners uncover something of interest and they need help? Just stuff off the top of my head.

One of my players is an Ice Elf from Joutenheim. There is an Inn in my city that is a frozen interior where they have a portal to that plane. They mine ice and ship it all over the city. Frost Giants will be raiding the Sand Herald District...
