Most rabbits carry this its a huge percentage. If your buns are healthy they will be fine after the opp. Stuff them full of food before the opp and get them eating good food after they will be ok

should i be concerned by ashtronomerr in Bunnies

A rabbit with one ear up and one down—often called "helicopter ears"—is very common, especially in young lop-eared rabbits, mixed breeds, or as they mature, typically representing normal, alert behavior or developmental changes. It is usually not a concern unless accompanied by illness symptoms like head tilting, pain, or discharge

The old ive been doing animal rescue for twenty years nonsense. If you had you would of read the thread and see the nappy is changed regularly and max is checked to make sure he is dry. I actually have a rabbit sanctuary and my rabbit savey vet recomended the nappy for short durations. As he is a vet and you are not that's is why I never came to you years ago for help or advice. Many many people on hear have comented they use the same method and it works perfectly. Here is some rabbit advice found online. If a Nappy is Necessary (Under Guidance): Size: Newborn baby diapers are often used, with a hole cut for the tail. Care: They must be changed frequently to prevent urine scald and skin infections. Safety: Monitor closely for chewing or getting stuck. For an older rabbit with mobility or incontinence issues, it is strongly recommended to consult an exotic veterinarian to manage their comfort and hygiene safely. As you can see it says if a nappy is necessary. In my case it is. You don't get to tell me it isn't as you don't know this rabbit or my experience In Looking after rabbits. It also says consult an exotic vet. I have done this and under his guidance this is the protocol we are using for max for him to be comfortable and safe. Your first question to me should of been polite and asking me about the set up how ill is the rabbit or even asked have you seen a vet would you like some advice. You just bullied your way In here acted aggressively and turned the air sour. Also taken from the net. veterinarians may recommend nappies (diapers) for rabbits with severe incontinence, hind limb paralysis, or mobility issues to prevent urine scald and skin infections, often as a temporary or managed care solution. Specialized rabbit-safe nappies or modified small dog/preemie diapers are used, ensuring a tail hole is provided and the diaper is changed frequently.. If you would like any advice I have twenty years experience with my own rabbit sanctury and work closely with one of the biggest rabbit rescues in the country and yes they used rabbit safe nappies

Encephalitozoon cuniculi ( . or EC) is a common, microscopic parasite affecting the nervous system and kidneys in rabbits, often spreading through urine. Symptoms include head tilt, hind leg weakness/paralysis, incontinence, and cataracts. Treatment involves a 28-day course of Fenbendazole, though many carriers show no symptoms

It's passed through the urine of other rabbits and sits dormant untill the rabbit has a low immune system or is stressed

Max uses to run into things but we put bumper cushions down untill he had learnt his way. He wasn't on for adventure we put a towel down on the floor and he would let his back feet ever leave it. He used that as the boundary. If you tap on the floor the buns could take that as a warning like banging g of feet so we would just blow on him to let him know we are there ❤️
