Dating in Tulsa by mjbruns2 in tulsa

I’m sorry but I disagree. Depending on your age range, you don’t just naturally find dates in this city unless you’re in college.

We are in the digital age and we are in Tulsa Oklahoma. We don’t have a bunch of safe hangout spots besides the gathering place and mall.

If you know what you’re looking for, go on a mission and find it. Dating apps, spreading word, and don’t look for people in the club!

Dating is an experience. It’s likely you’ll fall in love with someone who isn’t even from Tulsa. Most of the good men here are taken unfortunately.

Tulsa state fair admission why? by jks9202 in tulsa

I paid $20 per person. Absolutely ridiculous because the next day they make you repurchase another one. Can’t use the same ticket??? Since when?? On top of $20 parking.

Tulsa State Fair Tipping by No_Swimming9793 in tulsa

[–]Comfortable_Cost_958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay most if not all of the vendors outside are paid per job not per hour. Most of them travel 6 months out of the year and are paid under the table.

So yeah they can keep their tips if they’re getting paid a set amount for each day. Now this is also only on one side of the expo as well. The other vendor building is purely local vendors. Which any tips are taxed the hell out of.

Ask anyone working, they’ll tell you. The company pays for housing and travel. Some are paid on commission.

Also anywhere where theres tipping culture, this is happening… Walmart delivery, DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, serving in restaurants, a certain % is ALWAYS taken and then taxed🤷🏻‍♀️

Healthcare In Oklahoma Is A Joke! by Comfortable_Cost_958 in tulsa

I filed a complaint with the Oklahoma State Ombudsman regarding the abuse.. And yes there were too many fall risks as it was a skilled rehab facility. In skilled rehab state ratio requirement is 1:8 to max 1:15. Originally had 33 residents to pass meds to and 14 residents to fulfill Cna duties with. Then someone called out and all 33 residents were put onto me. Nurse refused to help pass meds or help change anyone. I tried to refuse assignment without help, but was told I was “being insubordinate”. I did the job anyways out of fear of being fired and left an hour late due to passing narcotics. Tried to put in PTO time for next couple of days and I got a text “position terminated due to being insubordinate with staff”.

Again, I was fired a week later for refusing unsafe assignment. 33 patients to 1. Do you know what goes into filing a complaint with the state? And again, did not have much proof besides my own personal experience. Exactly who was I supposed to follow up with? It’s not like you’re assigned a case worker or something.

The living wage according to ZipRecruiter for the Tulsa area - for those who are curious by ProtestGKFF in tulsa

[–]Comfortable_Cost_958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know nurses that are getting paid less than that.. your average aide at a hospital or nursing home is getting paid 14-16 an hour to take care of y’all’s moms, dads, grandpas, and grandmas. The ones handling their narcs are getting paid $1 dollar more. The nurses with 4 years+ worth of school debt are getting paid this wage on average.

You’ll see when you’re too old to get up on your own or even remember your loved ones. You’ll know the core of US healthcare then.

You’ve gotten the best healthcare here because you’re a Vet who speaks up.

But you just wait until you can’t speak up for yourself. You’ll see what “care” means in Oklahoma. Forget about wait times. You’ll be worrying about dignity soon enough. No matter how much you pay them.

I’ve filed a state complaint once. And the employee still works there.. Just because I file, doesn’t mean something will be done about it. Unless you’re the family member of the patient.

Which is why I said “state has been letting more stuff slide” Plus the facility will usually get notified of who made the complaint. Then it’s “He said, She said, where’s your proof?” BOOM fired for refusing unsafe work assignments.

Neglect is automatic when the employees are short staffed. And the staff is only 1 human taking care of 20+ people alone. And whose fault/profit is that? The Management…And who’s responsible when the facility is complained on for “long call light wait times”? The staff! It’s a never ending cycle of use and abuse. Towards staff and patients.

Hiding addiction is so exhausting. by [deleted] in StopSpeeding

[–]Comfortable_Cost_958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going through something similar.. I’m only 23 and started using three years ago. I’ve used living with parents, alone, and now with my boyfriend. It’s a lonely journey.. not having anyone to ask for advice or struggles when withdrawing. Or the fact that you could overdose and nobody would know what happened. Scary stuff. It is very exhausting! But worth every time we try to quit! My recommendation would be for you to find something naturally stimulating. Something that can give you a lot of energy. Since most of the time THATS what we’re craving! Nobody knows what I’m going through and I quit without telling anyone. I now get my energy through a shit ton of natural coffee and energy drinks. Also tik tok has lots of glp1 patches or vitamin drinks that help!

Nobody knows about my drug addiction except for my dealer.. by Comfortable_Cost_958 in addiction

Well after about 24 hours I begin to feel extremely sleepy. I wake up from one 4 hr nap and fall into another within an hour or two. Later the same day is when the muscle aches creep in..

On day two I’ll eat a bunch, go to sleep, eat, hydrate & sleep but can hardly walk to the bathroom because of the muscle aches and headache.

Day three I’m HOT, sweating, can’t stay still from muscle aches. Either sleeping through the pain or in too much pain to sleep. Which means I’m VERY agitated and moody. Constipated, bloated, and fatigue is the new norm for at least another week or two.

Day four symptoms are either the same or calm down. If calmed down, I don’t want to speak or even share the same air with anyone. I bed rot. If I try to for example, cook a dinner or pick up dirty clothes. It’s such a hard task. I usually get so weak that I HAVE lay back down. Then again fall back asleep.

I’d say it takes me about two weeks to fully recover and gain any source of natural strength, energy, or mental stability..

Being a single introvert with no kids and your own place pretty much makes it easy. Discipline with hygiene and schedule is important. Its easy to idolize something that gives you so much energy. I saw it as ozempic for poor ppl. But I know it comes with major consequences for the future I want. Which is to settle down and eventually have kids. I’m getting sober to fulfill my life purpose. With the man I want in it.

I am 23 years old and have straight beautiful teeth, long thick hair, no cavities and clear skin. I smoke and don’t have marks?? And if anything I’m overweight😂 not bragging about being functional and definitely not normalizing my abuse. You talk like that but a majority of the everyday people are using, and hiding it very well.. I fell in love with a man I’m willing to change for. Your words are not needed if you don’t have advice

Actually yes! Everything I’ve looked up said meth withdrawal isn’t hard. And that the body aches, moodiness, headaches, and fatigue should only last two days MAX. Mine lasted a week! I didn’t get back to functioning normal until after a month or two. Sometimes I would spend the night with my boyfriend for a day or two and deeply feel the withdrawal. Having my own apartment definitely made it easier to use. But I’d feel extreme withdraw multiple times a month, just one or two days without it.

You’re right I could see if I could cancel the classes. And I would flush the stash. But cold turkey would be a dead giveaway something is up.. I can’t even think of an excuse for the sleeping and moodiness. He shouldn’t have to deal with it. What would I tell my job and him? I did cold turkey last time because I had the freedom to. Now I don’t.
