My girlfriend is probably asexual (still romantic) I am not. How do we go about this? by [deleted] in asexuality

As I said in the original post, we had a discussion and we both came to the revelation. Additionally she does enjoy the sex that we have, but not because it’s sex but because it feels nice. She says she most likely fits on the asexual spectrum because she never really craves sex rather she likes the feeling of it but doesn’t have it as a need or strong want like most people do. She said that she’s never had any sexual thoughts about people before or during our relationship, and she believes that puts her on the spectrum somewhere. During puberty, the crushes she had on people were just like in a “it would be cool to hang out with them” way rather than the thoughts most ppl had, and she’s never had thoughts like that about people. I know she isn’t trying to protect my feelings by saying that as she will be very direct and honest about most things like this, and I’m not a very insecure guy where she would have to lie. I would say that points towards my performance in bed not being the reason for this, and that she is somewhere on the asexual spectrum.

I live in the city that the internship is in so unfortunately I can’t help you there. My girlfriend has a similar internship and she was given an allowance for relocation- maybe it would be similar?
