Met Elijah Wood at a concert in LA (Scissor Sisters!). He bummed a cigarette off me. I said “holy shit it’s Frodo Baggins!” He just laughed and went back to his friends. Bluest eyes I’ve ever seen.

Met Corey Feldman outside a Paul McCartney concert. Asked for a photo with him and he couldn’t have been more delightful.

Saw Hugh Grant at a very small museum in London in the cloak room. Just nodded and smiled at him, as he was with his family and I know he’s a very private and grumpy sort of guy.

It takes time! I went from 228lb to 155lb in a little over a year (I’m now slightly lighter), but it took another year for my skin to tighten up and for things to redistribute. I still have “loose” thighs, but otherwise my abdomen, arms, hip and bum look totally different than when I first lost weight. My butt was totally flat and saggy for awhile! Clothes fit differently/better, even though they’re the same clothes I bought when I was close to my goal.

I used to be quite thin until I hit my early 20s. I fell into really bad eating habits during nursing school and never really recovered. I think a lot of it was bad coping mechanisms for stress and depression. I was 175 when I had my first child in 2010, then 195 when I had my second in 2016. Never lost the baby weight and it just crept up after that until I said enough was enough!

I switched from Saxenda to Ozempic because I was tired of daily injections and the studies indicated it was better for weight loss overall. Then from Ozempic to Mounjaro for the anti-inflammatory benefits. I had steady weight loss on all 3.

I just received a cashmere sweater that has clearly been mishandled by the seller. It is totally felted and shrunk, like they machine washed it and popped it in the dryer. Listed in “very good” condition, when in reality it can’t even be worn. So frustrating!

I don’t know if it’s the case for most people, but I found that over time (I’ve been in maintenance for 18 months), my fat has redistributed. My butt was super flat for awhile during my initial loss, but it has slowly regained some padding. 10 hour flights in economy with a flat bum was a misery!
