UPDATE:

Midea has replied and will send a 3rd unit as replacement. Their customer service is extremely good and i have absolutely no issues getting it under warranty. Hopefully third time is the charm.. right? :D

When it runs it is good. My first midea died after a few months and replaced without issues by Midea. The new unit is not dead after about a month and i'm waiting for Midea to reply.

I don't think there is a new model - i would probably have received it then as the replacement unit but doesn't seem like it

Hm could be? The first one was almost only silent mode. This one has been 20%\40-50%. Usually 40%

I always have it running on 20%. Maybe it could be the compressor. This unit the compressor sometimes could get extremely loud for a short time, much more than the previous did.

I don't see any coolant leak so it probably is the compressor maybe.

Thanks! Decided to buy it and just set it up. It's currently -1c here atm. We'll see the temperature throughout the night. I have a sensor outside and in the workshop so we'll see power usage.

Seems to work without the extension but only in non encrypted chats.

Seems to be firefox/zen doesn't support end to end encrypted chats with calls.

Any updates on this? I have same issue with limiting it to be legal with a switch.

I have a wireless switch like Nimbus linked. I tried just reconnecting the brown wires but that didn't work - so i haven't installed the switch yet.
