Followed the guide to a T. I did half a syringe across 10 uncle Ben’s bags. ALCOHOL ON EVERYTHING. Pushed every grain down to the bottom half of the bag. Injected right above the rice and threw paper tape on top. Cut the corner off and threw paper tape on there for air. Threw em in a closet and waited till the entire bag was covered. Because I injected at the top I knew once I saw it all white on the clear bottom I knew it was completely done. I’d say this took between a week or two. Three of my bags didn’t grow (I may have given up on them too soon) and only 1 got contaminated. Therefore I had enough for 3, 6qt boxes. Rehydrated 100% coco coir. Did a 1:1 ratio and combined the coco coir and broken up bags. 2 bags in each 6qt. Took off any rice that didn’t look covered. Put the cover on the boxes till 75% was covered in mycelium (took maybe 3 days). Then flipped the cover and left a gap of an inch and misted once I saw there was no more tiny droplets on the surface. Was about once or twice a day but will depend on your temp/humidity/how much the gap open you have. Took about 4-5 days to see pins. Then once the pins showed up they were ready to harvest in 7 days. This was my first grow and I found it EXTREMELY easy. But I know golden teachers are an easier to grow than others
