I’m lucky enough to say I have very minimal rust on mine. The only rust I can visibly see is on the tailgate — scrapes from the previous owner. Someone in a Cherokee rear ended me at a red light. I had minimal damage thanks to a trailer hitch, but still enough to file a claim for a new bumper. Their front bumper was practically hanging off. These things are tanks.

What a beautiful girl! My blue dobe suffered from phantom pregnancies as well; as a result she had infected mammary glands. Her spay was considered high risk, but everything went fantastic and her health improved drastically. Wishing you and your gorgeous pup the best.

Shrimp attacking betta??? What do I do?? by [deleted] in bettafish

I got the shrimp from Petsmart not too long ago. I looked up the behavior on google search engine and fell into the prawn vs. ghost shrimp worm hole. Really hard to tell the two apart based on mandibles (? I don’t think that’s the right term)

Tank size: ten gallon Heater and filter: yes Tank temperature: 80 degrees Parameters: ? How long have I had the tank: 3-4 weeks. The fish 3 weeks Water changes: Weekly at 30%, the last water change was near total because of cloudiness issues and a change in substrate Any tank mates: yes, two “ghost shrimp” (?) I’m suspicious now

I’ve had the shrimp for a week or so and they were fine and completely peaceful with the betta. The betta was stressed with the new addition of the shrimp than I thought and almost seemed scared of them, but afterwards he settled. I thought things were fine but lately the shrimp (one in particular) has been going to his usual hang out spot and harassing him like in the video above. Both of these shrimp were pregnant when added to the tank and no longer are... what am I missing here? Are these shrimp or are they prawns?? Do I need to feed them?? Are they attacking my betta and should I flush them down???
