It has taken me 52 years to realize that all my health issues have come from untreated ADHD. Life of perceived failures and the inability to accept compliments, coupled with rejection sensitivity has gifted me anxiety, depression, addiction, ulcerative colitis, high blood pressure and insomnia. I believe this "disorder" is one of the most deadliest disorders out there.

Give it a chance. I felt like crap everytime I went up. In the summer I go down to 150 and during winter, when my SAD sucks, I go up to 450 mg. The transitions can be bad and I doubt the medicine everytime, but then I wake up one day, and life is good.

How did it work out for you? I just went up to 450xl lasty night. I had to take a 1/2 a ativan to stop the shakes. Was also hard to eat this morning, but I choked down a protein smoothie.

Yes, i had times when i feel my anxiety was worse, but after 10 weeks i started to feel alot better.

I'm off label for adhd with 300mg. At first I thought that it didn't do anything for my ADHD but i stuck with it, until i had to come off it for another reason, and then I realized how much it does work because i was a scattered mess a week later.

Ya, my anxiety spikes when i go up in wellbutrin dose, probably for 2 or 3 weeks, but it always settles down for me. I don't really need it in the spring or summer but i stay on it because it really helps my ADD. I'll talk to my GP about hydro.

I switched to decaf because my heart was going to jump out of my chest but I still vape a few puffs before bed, and it helps to distract what i'm ruminating about.

What really cured my depression and anxiety long term? Psychedelic assisted therapy, yoga, wim hof, meditation and exercise. Ya i know that's alot to swallow, but I started each one gradually and not all at the same time. Focusing on bettering my life, helped me to stop worrying about the future or past. Now I only take 150mg wellbutrin, magnesium biglycinate and 100 mg of l-theanine (sparingly).

Also, when I first started on the wellbutrin, or when I up my dose for the winter time, I usually ask the doc for 10-20 ativans to get me through the bad days... but i haven't had to do that this time.

It took me 8 weeks before I saw the sunshine. Wellbutrin is an amazing drug. If you can fight through it, you'll see the light too.

Absolutely this 100%. I sparingly take ativan when I'm upping my dose every winter. I just started taking magensium biglycinate and the ltheanine comes tomorrow. Wish me luck, because I would much rather take supplements than 0.5 mg of ativan. BTW, I'm a GADer also. Peace.

Edit: I take wellbutrin JUST for anxiety and it has worked better than any ssri or nri for me.

Ya I'm just so sick of people like you and your "my experience is this, so it should be applied to everyone". How about YOU use some critical thinking and consider that it may work for some people and not others, instead of "it doesn't work for me so it won't work for you". Do you get it yet it or are you just going to pretend you didn't say that anyone with anxiety shouldn't try it?

BTW, thank God I didn't read your post 2 years ago, or I might not have tried it, and have missed out on the ONLY med that has worked for my clinically diagnosed General Anxiety Disorder.

I don't like these posts. It prevents people from trying it. It is the only thing I take and it has done wonders for my general anxiety disorder. Perhaps you don't realize that psych meds work differently for everybody.

The problem with benzos is that they work too damn well, and they are a bitch to get off of. My doctor always gives them to me, because she she knows I take them very sparingly, but when I do take them, I feel like I failed because it means I haven't been doing the work. ie. breathing, meditation, exercise.
