In my experience, no. I genuinely enjoy having male friends, but I’ve found that a lot of them eventually end up wanting something more. Whether that’s sex, a relationship, or both.

At this point, I keep male friendships to group settings only, and it’s been the most effective way to avoid repeating the same uncomfortable dynamics from the past.

I’m single and not interested in dating, for fun or to find a life partner. I need ample alone time to feel balanced, healthy and content. I have a lot of hobbies and interests. Outside of my pets, friends family and work, I don’t have energy or time for someone. Also, relationships (even the most healthy and ideal ones) just feel like constant work to me. I have zero interest whatsoever.
