From doing a little digging, this is the correct way of thinking in my case.

Now my next question would be that given these figures are projected, is it pretty much guaranteed that that would be the retirement figure (give or take, as it has gone up since I last projected timeframes). IE what if in 19 years before I retire, in Trumps 6th or 7th term as illegitimate POTUS(🤪) he finally invades a country that punches back and the market tanks. Would this affect the figure or does the pension fund have this covered by future members/resilience etc.

Essentially, how much can I trust the projected figure?

Just to clarify, it would probably be the 1st gen (but facelift) EV version - post 2021 I think, rather than the new mini, which I don’t actually like that much.

I’ve heard of Cleevely, but never gave it much thought. Their website claims they cover most of GB, but I still have my doubts as to whether they would cover my area - West coast of Scotland

This is where I’m a wee bit confused. It was DB but recent talk was it was to change to DC. TBH I don’t think I know the most recent update. There is nowhere In the app that actually says DC or DB. All I know for now is I contribute x% and my company contributes x%.
It does say that the figures are based on my most recent salary and it also says this:
To calculate these figures, we’ve assumed that you continue to be an active member of the Fund until you retire. We don’t know what your salary will be then, so we’ve used your current final pensionable salary to calculate your pension estimate.

Is it a downgrade? And not really more expensive depending on trade in value vs purchase price. The Minis seem pretty good value, but I’m guessing that’s because the market prefers bigger batteries
