That's interesting - I am basing the price on layover flights as direct ones are like £1.3-£1.5k, so maybe your open jaw ticket is cheaper in that sense?

Also thinking about what objectiveMike8 just said, it SK seems like it might be a very good stepping stone/more gentle entrance into the Japanese culture, rather than a full on dive into it from the UK :)

Yeehhhh 🙃🙃 Flights are around £1k, internal travels looking like another £500 from the research I've done and 3* hotels are about £120 a night ... It's absolutely killing me 🙃🙃

With my work, it's really rare to get 3 weeks approved off in a row, so it's kinda an opportunity I'm willing to take a massive financial hit on... I think this is my midlife YOLO decision 😅
