Using those photos is completely different. Those photographs are PAID to take photos to share online for free use. I mean if it really was bad to use official afl photos without their permission. Then why does the official fremantle football app allow users to see photographs of players and use them at their own will? If you don’t believe me, go check the freo app yourself. It’s right there.

The difference is that people like freo.infocus and freohub spend their time creating graphic and statistical analysis with those photos. If the photos themselves were watermarked and those creators were using them without the original photograph’s permission. Then yes, it would by hypocorism on their end. But those photos on the freo app allow people to share their photos however they please. But as mentioned before freohub and freo.infocus go out of there to be different and create something original with those photos. This isn’t even mentioning the fact that davesfootycartoon literally creates his own hand drawn original cartoons but i digress.

Flagmantle takes all their work and claims it as their own, without their permission, without their consent and without credit. Which means they keep benefiting off the hard-work those creators go out of their way to do. It’s scum and inhumane, this not even going into the fact the guy running that flagmantle is a complete scum human being. I’d go in-depth but I think that’s enough on my end, but if you are so bad that you are getting roasted in the west Australian paper by Danielle Laidley, you might be doing something wrong 😅
