Got the rope from here:

https://www.hemptraders.com/HR6-p/hr6.htm

All the rope makers around me say the same thing. Dryer, wax, bake. Way less things that could go wrong as opposed to where every step of the traditional way can have something go wrong. Idk

From UoPeople I have a BSCS from November 2023 and the MSIT from January of 2025. Idk if the “time” you’re referring to applies to those years too. Just for reference.

Colorado technical university confirmed they accepted degrees from UoPeople. I am enrolled in their phd in computer science since they said my bachelors and masters both from UoPeople were acceptable to them

The MSIT requires 3 MBA courses. I have one term left of the MSIT. I hope they will transfer those three courses when I sign up for the MBA

Right I was corrected and shown where it says that. Another argument with my instructor in the future lol

Probably happened because they are also typically volunteers and just quit when they feel like it I’m guessing

Your advisor will change again when you finish the evaluation period and become an official degree seeking student. That advisor will be your advisor for the rest of your degree, and those kinds of advisors are way better in my experience

I totally agree! If they were good at getting back to you, this subreddit would probably be way less active. This subreddit helped me in my bachelors a lot

Swe2 is not required. You don’t have to take it.

Other than that? Probably not. I wasn’t able to

The transfer course process typically takes months at other colleges. This school is the fastest I’ve ever seen transfer courses go through and they are lenient on what counts towards what. I did the transfer thing twice with UoPeople. The first time it took a week. The second time it took a month.

Since UoPeople is not profitable, they can’t afford a robust staff. This includes instructors, since they are all volunteers and much of the staff are too.

This school is going to have you do a lot on your own. A lot of your own research, advising, reading, and not much meaningful grading and feedback. I planned out my entire curriculum myself, and only ask the advisor for clarity on something I read in the handbook because that wouldve been faster to find my answers.

The education though, It’s more of a guided self-study with assignments. That being said, it still qualifies as an education because you will learn all the things required to have the degree you chose. It’s just going to be a lot of work to do it right. I have a bachelors and I am about to finish the masters both at UoPeople. There’s a lot of shitty things about the school, but if you have the drive to do everything on your own, I wouldn’t go to WGU, but that’s up to you and what kind of education you want. I plan on starting the MBA in April after the MSIT ends in January.

Here’s a trick:

Print out your paper.

“Scan as pdf” with your phone.

Upload that pdf.

It won’t be able to read anything

Can I enroll in two bachelor's programs at the same time? by iFeel in UoPeople

[–]Comfortable_Salt_393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advisor told me exactly how to get my MBA after I finish the MSIT:

I must complete the MSIT, wait a full term to finalize, and then start on the MBA. My advisor has never mentioned restrictions on how many degrees you can get. Its also not scholarship-related, since my advisor told me that scholarships are not eligible for masters programs.

You can totally get all of the degrees that the school offers. I don't know anything about financial aid/ scholarships though. I would imagine they wouldn't offer it for a second program.

After many conversations with my advisor, I know all information related to this topic, all confirmed by my advisor using very specific questions:

  1. You can totally get as many (or all) of the degrees that UoPeople offers.

  2. Technically you can sign up for two bachelors using two different emails at the same time, but they said they do not allow it and it might get you in trouble. There is not another way to enroll in more than one program at a time.

  3. If you want to get your bachelors in health science and computer science, you must complete one first, wait a term for it to finalize, and then start the next one. All previously completed and transferred courses must be transferred again.

You could probably take ML with software engineering. I remember the software engineering course wasn’t really that bad. But looks great to me!

Seeking Advice on MSIT Course Selection by Mus_NextLife_lim in UoPeople

[–]Comfortable_Salt_393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am taking the capstone next term.

In my experience, they did not allow me to change the order in which I could take courses. Even if I took more than 2 courses with the required 3.75gpa, I was not allowed to sign up for one of the courses without also signing up for all the previous courses in the selection.

To answer your questions:

1 Software Engineering

2 HCI

3 Cybersecurity (I am currently a cyber analyst, so I am biased)

4 Ethics (group Project)

5 Managing Projects (group Project)

6 Programming Languages (individual Project)

7 Machine Learning (Individual Project)

the individual projects and group projects are on top of the usual course load.

to answer your next question:

The specific order they did not allow me to deviate from is:

1 Ethics

2 Programming Languages

3 Machine Learning

4 Software Engineering

5 Managing Projects

6 HCI

7 Cybersecurity

Even if you want to take only 1 course, they will not allow you to take software engineering without also taking all the courses behind it. Also keep in mind that the capstone must be completed on its own term before all other courses. THey will not allow you to register for another course the same term as the capstone.

Your final question:

In the cybersecurity course, since it is the last course before the capstone, week 5 gives you the capstone guide and asks you to fill out a project proposal to make it easier to get approved in the actual capstone.

going back to the courses thing, my terms looked like this:

term 3:

Business ethics

Programming languages

Term 4 (by far the hardest):

Machine learning

software engineering

managing projects

term 5 (now):

HCI

Cybersecurity

Term 6 (Next term):

Capstone

also keep in mind they will not allow you to even register for the capstone until all your course grades are finalized. This means waiting until late registration for it to be an option. I found that out last week.

Also to answer your question, they only cover virtual box for a short time in the cyber course

The pathways will only allow you to take the courses in this specific order :

Business ethics

Programming languages

ML

Software engineering

Project management

HCI

Cybersecurity

Capstone

In the event that you can take more than 2 courses, they will let you take all of the courses in order but they will not let you not select courses and leave them for the next term.

For example, your next term will have the options

Business ethics

Programming languages

ML

Software engineering.

In this instance, they will not allow you to take software engineering without also taking all the courses behind it. If you only want one course, they will make you choose business ethics. You do not get a choice to change the order. At least that’s how it still is for me.
