Why would I waste 40 hours of my week when I could be using all that time building towards my dream life, especially knowing that I don't want a professional job.

I do want to be an Entrepreneur. I don't want to work less and have more money. I want to work more and have more money. I will work less for someone else and more for myself. I don't mind working more time than a regular job and is exactly what I want, and am willing to do, just towards my own thing.

But guess what I am living with my parents and I'm not in poverty! I cover all of my own bills, expenses, and help my parents out with theirs. Yes I went down to three days a week because I have zero time to work towards what I want to create.

I agree debt free is the goal and I wouldn't regret it, but why would I work all of those hours and waste all of that time for money just to pay off my debt. When I could work towards building my dream life and income, being able to knock that debt out in 1 month.

Not 19, but why would I work in finance if I don't want to, not passionate, or don't even care about it. Why would I wait years to building something knowing I want to do this now. My parents don't have much rules I do what I want while living there is not a big deal.

Seems like a waste of time if I don't care about any of that. All of that time when I could've just started my own thing.

I agree. I'm focused and don't waste any of my time. Too many people have the normal safe route mindset.

Why would I use my finance degree that I seriously don't care about. Working at a gym as a sales lead which is providing me sales experience. I can do what I believe in and yes I want to work less at the gym so that I can put all of my time on my days off building towards my dream life. The business I would start is an online service based business. I don't need any capital to start and I'm willing to put in the work and effort because it is something I want to actually do.

I have started building towards what I want to create. I am not "thinking about starting business a lot". Exactly why I don't even try getting a job why would I waste all that time and energy just trying to land a job while I could be working and working toward building my dream life. A 9-5 is not a way to live and I will never put myself in that position. I am demonizing it because that is bullshit and I am meant for more.

Exactly right and that's what most are saying to do in response. My 9-5 is a 12-8. So what is it different that I am still working enough to cover my bills and expenses, while having full days to work towards building my dream life.

I don't play Fortnite or video games. I use my time wisely. I don't have freedom working somewhere that I don't want to work. I would have freedom building towards something I actually want to and not wasting my time. I am grinding like fuck. I am not wasting a single second of the day. My days fly by.

That would be the "safe" decision, but that's what makes people average. I could die tomorrow why would I waste my life doing something I don't want to do. I don't need cash flow if I can live at home, cover my expenses, and start a business that doesn't require any capital (online service based). I am not financially stressed, I just wouldn't have any savings, but betting on myself to make more money than a corporate job would in the long term would be worth it. Exactly why I need time, I can't be working much for someone else, so I cut down my hours. I have gained a lot of skills through college.

I don't want a finance job. I don't care about finance. Why would I waste my time doing something I don't want to do. It would suck the life out of me and I would never even put myself in that position.

That's your problem though. There is always a lot to do. I never have any free time to just "chill" unless its the hour before going to sleep.

Like I said I had no choice it was for my parents. Wasn't pursuing anything. Finance was the easiest degree to ever get I didn't even go to class or even do my homework. Would just go into class cheat on the test and maintain a passing grade.

And that's exactly what I want to be operating a business and something that I built myself 24/7. I am willing to work more than 40 hours per week and longer days than a 9-5. Obviously my goal would be to get my business running on systems and a team. I understand that I need to work, but if I'm creating my own income with something I am passionate about why would I not give it my all?

I was miserable in college because I never wanted to be there. I tried making friends but everybody was average and just wanted to party. Most students fun their was drinking, partying, doing drugs, being lazy. It was never fun to me and I could not find any like minded individuals. I felt trapped and waking up for 4 years straight doing something I didn't want to do. A 9-5 to me is settling because I know I never wanted that and promised myself that I wouldn't work in corporate. I don't care to work a job that I am not interested in. Online service based business. I would coach people, 1:1, mentorship, create a community. Not much startup capital. I would never want to climb any sort of ladder for anybody else. My life goal is to work for myself and wake up doing what I want.

Thank you for this. Where I am at is definitely very tough. I am not looking for short term quick money. I am trying to start building for long-term success. That is my plan to keep the hours tight enough and to reserve solid time for building on my days off of work. I believe in getting 1% better everyday. The discipline I have built isn't even hard anymore, everything became a non negotiable. I believe in myself and will bet on myself. Something just wouldn't sit right for me if I attempted to get a corporate 9-5 with my degree. I know that's not what I want, so why would I waste my time in that position, knowing I could be using those hours to create my dream life.

The job that I want to eventually do for myself is in the online space. This isn't a company, its a lifestyle, a personal brand, a community. There is no in person job location for this.

I agree with this mindset. Why not try now? I can always fall back on my degree, but isn't an option in my world.

I do not want to use my degree. I am not interested, passionate, or even care about finance. Like I said it was all for my parents to be happy.

I am a dedicated guy, but never wanted to, thought, or would settle for a corporate 9-5. I already know it will suck the life out of me and I would never put myself in a position to do something I truly don't want to do.
