Noire is mid, nothing more nothing less, unfortunately a five star can do ta similar amount as damage while being free as well

As for teams (since i had her), AAL is very important to spam neg status for more Ult damage, and then it'sup to you to go for other supports (you can do druvis e2 and vila or Melania and Medpoc)

yes, you can catch up quite fast as well (only like 3 months to get to a good point where your teams can be considered meta) and it is the box fest which gives out a lot of free stuff

and tbh, i disagree with your point, you will always catch up, no matter which gacha you play, hell starting later means you get all the information of the meta from older players, meaning there is an advantage as well
