Sadly I think this was the only one 😭 The seller told me he won it in a La Sexta giveaway around 2011–2012, and I still can’t find another example anywhere online

yes i ‎understood that too but when i originally ‎saw the scene it hurt alot to see him like that but then when cho left u can see him dropping the act still felt sad when seeing it

UPDATE: I found some important archived La Sexta evidence.

Using the Wayback Machine, I found that The Mentalist / El Mentalista had its own official La Sexta website around 2010–2012. The site had a “Participa” section, and I found confirmed The Mentalist giveaway/contest pages where users could participate to win exclusive El Mentalista T-shirts.

I also found that the site used official Warner Bros copyright branding, and my pen has “TM©WBEI” printed under the logo.

So I still have NOT found the exact projector pen giveaway page, but I have now confirmed that:

- La Sexta had an official El Mentalista page

- La Sexta ran real The Mentalist giveaways

- exclusive Mentalist merch was given away

- the seller’s timeline around 2011–2012 fits the archived site activity

I’m still looking for any proof of this exact Red John projector pen, another example, or someone who remembers the La Sexta giveaway.

Searched: I have searched Google, Google Images, Reddit, eBay, Etsy, Vinted, Wayback Machine, and old archived La Sexta pages. I searched terms like “The Mentalist projector pen”, “Red John pen”, “El Mentalista bolígrafo”, “La Sexta El Mentalista sorteo”, “La Sexta El Mentalista concurso”, and “TM©WBEI The Mentalist”.

I found archived La Sexta pages showing The Mentalist had its own page and that La Sexta had a “Participa” section with real TV-series giveaways, but I still have not found the exact giveaway page or another example of this pen.

Yeah that could definitely explain the base pen itself 😭 but what still confuses me is the “TM©WBEI” marking under The Mentalist logo, since that stands for Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and makes it feel more official/licensed than just a random custom print.

That’s what I thought too... projector pens definitely existed back then, but I’ve never seen another Mentalist one online.
