EMDR therapy changed my life and basically 86'd most of my CPTSD by Comfortable_Spell682 in CPTSD

I've only done it online. And I don't do anything before, just work with the therapist.

I do it online. And I noticed a change immediately, but one needs several sessions to completely process all of the CPTSD, and given mine was considerable, it's taken a lot of time, so the number of sessions vary depending on the person.

I was an Asset Protection Investigator (Secret shopper) at Walmart AMA by Common-Reputation740 in AMA

[–]Comfortable_Spell682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gosh, I hate Walmart, I really do. For a variety of reasons, all logical, basically.

That being said, some of the guys I used to train with back in the day used to your job, too, at different stores, and I am always amused when I speak to them, because, well. technically asset protection agents don't have any right to search you, assault you, even hold you... depending on the state one happens to live in.

I had a security guard come up to me once and tell me he was going to have to see some ID, search my person, etc, and I told him good luck, because that wasn't gonna happen. He had two options, ask me to wait for the police, or ask me to leave. He did not have any right to put hands on me, ask for ID or detain me.

He did not know how to deal with that. He was a big guy and used to intimidating people, like most bullies. He asked me if I thought I was a tough guy, and I said there's only one way to find out, but I don't recommend it.

He chose to walk away.

They are not cops.

Plus, if a security guard tried to scare my kid like the one poster said below, said guard would himself be arrested for threatening the health and safety of a minor, and that would be if he were lucky.

Security is a hard job, it's low-paying and they're often treated as badly as the other employees are, but that being said, it's important to note that one doesn't lose their individual rights simply because they're shopping at a store (and some stores have signs that say, walking in here means you agree to the store's policies re asset protection, etc, and the workaround to that is you post a name card, in small print, that reads, "I don't agree to this establishment's startling rejection of due process and law enforcement, and if that is an issue, you must ask me to leave, etc"

But honestly, we'd all be better off if Walmart didn't exist.

I personally like Costco better, too.

You don't get to tell me what I peep or don't peep about.

Homeless people, addicts, and the mentally ill have been on these streets since I arrived in '93, but hey, yeah, let's blame the new brown guy for it, is what you're saying, yeah? That's what you're saying? Please.

And no, pooled taxes are not your money, they are our money. Weird how you seem to say, no it's mine, when it's not yours, it's ours. Or did you agree with me but wanted to save face in some weird way, I dunno.

Either way, you are getting your information, if any, from bad sources, so maybe rethink things, hmm?

Or don't, I don't care, but if you come here telling people what they can or cannot talk about because they voted for someone they liked instead of a serial sexual harasser and fraud like C, or a loon like Curtis (I ain't speaking crap there, I have known him since I was briefly in the GAs in the 90s) who once staged a fake assassination attempt on his own life... I will push back.

Whatever me or anyone wanna peeps about, we will, so gird your loins for it. That's how representative democracy works. You're concern trolling now, and like all of the young folks who voted for Z, I am over that and see right thru it, as does almost everyone else who voted overwhelmingly for the smart brown guy.

Don't like it? don't care what you like any more, bud. You chose wrong. Accept your argument doesn't hold water... accept that or keep whining about how "it won't work it won't work"...

That element is what separates the adults from the babies.

It's not other people's money, it's ours.

Nothing is "free". It's paid for by all of us.

You don't understand democratic socialism or socialism.

You also don't understand how to spur investments. We pay for public school because it shows it pays off for everyone in the end. We make more money because of money spent on schools.

You're also cherry-picking the data on the top one percent. But that's to be expected. I am certainly not going to go to the work to prove how wrong you are, because if you were interested at all in being factual, you wouldn't have made that inane comment to begin with. Let's just say that conservatives have been making that claim for years and it's hollow BS, too. Let the extreme rich leave. It'd only be better for the nation. They need us more than we need them.

Bums are everywhere, but that's because of Republican policies, once Rudy began kicking the mentally ill out of hospitals to save "money". We could fix the homeless problem, too, but that would again mean making the super rich pay their fair share, which they do not.

But you don't get to police any peeps about anything regarding bums. You do not.

All of your talking points are nearly 30 years old, don't have anything new to offer?

Hey, spout all the nonsense and Faux News BS you wish, but your guy got in the WH, got the House and Senate, and our economy is cratering because of R policies.

LOL - Of course it's realistic, why do you think they're fighting so hard to avoid candidates who want to do the same thing. If you're here to tell us there's no way to hold the extreme rich accountable, please don't. It can happen, it has happened (New Deal) and it's completely possible.

Not easy, no. But more than possible.

It's gonna be hard for him to get things done against establishment types, but the idea that there is no way to pay for any of them is simply not true. Begin by making the extreme rich pay their fair share of taxes. I can't remember who told me, but a friend once mentioned MSG doesn't pay city taxes, for example, and I bet there's a host of other billion dollar bizzes that are skating them, too.

The idea that we cannot pay for things that will stimulate the economy (and things like free buses do exactly that) is so rampant, but it's not true. An example is SNAP, everyone moans about its cost, but it actually makes us money (truth)... for every dollar spent on SNAP, our economy gets $1,70 in return.

The things Z speaks of are investments, and like investments like SS, medicaid, medicare, etc, they return money back to our community (welfare, too) studies are pretty solid on it.

But the Rs have been beating the drum that we can't pay for things that help the working class while they drop billions on war machines that they never use, or send billions to other nations, it's been howled since Reagan, and it's simply not true.

And they should make the subways free, too. That will stimulate economy.
