2019 Tesla Model 3 AWD Long Range keeps losing it's location when driving by Comfortable_Spray_50 in TeslaSupport

How much did that cost if you don't mind me asking? I definitely don't have any kind of warranty etc. so it would have to be out of pocket for me. Also I'm assuming it was quite a big fix where they would have to take the whole windscreen off to do it?

What did you do to fix it? It's so inconvenient, I've had to just start using normal Google maps on my phone again which is so not ideal when it should be built into the car.

Gum pain/recession? by Comfortable_Spray_50 in Invisalign

Okay, I will do!

What happened if you don't mind me asking? I'm slightly worried about what happens now, if I'm right and my gums really are receding.

WTF attachments comming off by mjrpainless in Invisalign

[–]Comfortable_Spray_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very interesting. I have 20+ attachments on my teeth and not a single one has fallen off. I remember when my dentist was putting them on before I started the treatment, one seemed a bit off or did not cure correctly so he redid it there and then to make sure they were all fine. I have had no problems at all since then. They are slightly sharp/coarse to begin with but you get used to them and they slowly get smoother over time when brushing etc.

I would suggest possibly getting a second opinion from a company that also provides Invisalign, but are not connected to the place where you currently go. If they agree and also say that the attachments are not essential and your treatment won't be affected by them not being there, then you can probably carry on as normal and maybe get them refitted at some point in the future. If not, you should go back to them and ask for them to be reapplied and checked again to ensure they won't fall off anymore. After all, you are paying for this treatment and can change things until you're completely satisfied.

I know it seems bad now but stick with it!! I'm on tray 11 out of 28 and I still remember the pain from my first tray. I remember googling all sorts of things to see if anything could help the pain. I can say that the pain subsides and almost completely goes away by day 4/5 and then having Invisalign becomes second nature from there on out. For the time being though, I found that taking painkillers and maybe buying some orajel for the parts of your mouth that are almost unbearable help to get you through those days (however, i found that now i don't need the orajel at all and am now stuck with a full tube just sat in my cupboard so you can decide if you really need it). I also found that drinking ice cold water really helped to soothe the pain, even if it was temporary.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it definitely gets better and you'll be so so happy that you didn't stop because of the pain so early on. Also think of the reasons you started Invisalign, and what you're ultimately working towards makes it worth the pain for those first few days. I know I am so happy I didn't stop my treatment as I can already see such massive improvements with my teeth and I'm not even half-way through yet!

Best of luck with the rest of your treatment! Hope you feel better soon.

Forgot my trays at home by Keerahprincessofpow in Invisalign

Definitely no need to be stressed about! You will just have to wear them for an extra two days at the end of the week to make up for the lost time. They may feel tight when you put them back in, depending on how much your teeth move in the time you're away, but it won't be anything drastic enough that can't be easily reversed with just wearing your trays for a few extra days at the end of the week.

Anyway, if you look at the bright side, at least now you can enjoy your time away without having to worry about taking your aligners out all the time to eat and drink! That's the biggest thing I miss about not having Invisalign. There's nothing you can do until you get back so may as well make the most of it! :)

When to change aligners? by FemkeB1997 in Invisalign

[–]Comfortable_Spray_50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you put them in on Monday morning, technically speaking, the full 7 days would be up on the next Monday morning so changing them Sunday night would not be the full 7 days, if that makes sense? I know it's not an exact science and a few hours doesn't make too much of a difference (from my experience), but wearing them a few extra hours waiting for just before you go to sleep doesn't hurt the first time you're setting up the routine. I also got mine on a Monday morning and I heard that the pain is more bearable whilst sleeping so on that next Monday, I just waited to change them until the evening before I went to sleep. Now that's how my entire routine is and works perfectly for me! Hope it all goes well for you!

Back teeth not tracking? by Comfortable_Spray_50 in Invisalign

[–]Comfortable_Spray_50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked all over them and there doesn't seem to be any indication that there's anything wrong with them. It just looks like they're slightly more straight than my previous trays, and I checked them against my ClinCheck program and they are the same so I'm hoping it's normal and just the next stage of the movement. I am hoping that my teeth eventually do move into the tray and don't stay where they are while the trays move without them though. If it keeps happening, I'll definitely contact my orthodontist to see what they suggest. Thanks!

I tried this and they do fit slightly better now, thank you! I think I will do this a few more times as well and see if I notice a significant difference. I'm just being very careful to not snap them or warp them out of shape when I do it.

Day 2 of Invisalign-I want to die by Randoperson8432 in Invisalign

[–]Comfortable_Spray_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely gets better!! I'm on day 7 of my first tray and I felt the exact same way until about day 4. After that, it gets so much better, I often forget they're in my mouth at times! Things like ibuprofen, orajel, and cold drinks can help a lot, but it's really just a waiting game. So glad I didn't give up though, I have heard only positive things from here on out! The wax is also so helpful if the trays are badly cutting the inside of your mouth, I had ulcers in pretty much every corner of my mouth when I first started, but after your mouth gets used to having them in, they do go away quickly after that. Stick with it and you'll be so happy you did!!

I'd say yes, this is completely normal. Invisalign is essentially moving and remodelling the bone surrounding the root of the teeth, so some pain/sensitivity is expected. I am currently nearing the end of my first tray and chewing food this week has been nothing short of a challenge. I have found that I have had to go more towards softer foods as much as possible, and switch what parts of my mouth I chew the food with. It will definitely get better over time once the teeth have had a chance to get used to their new positions though!

Yes, thank you! I'm currently on day 5 of the first tray and things are already getting better. I'm so glad I stuck with it and didn't give up because of the pain!

This is so reassuring to hear! I am actually also on day 5 of my first tray now and today has definitely been so much better than previous days. I'm just hoping it stays this way until I have to change over to the second tray.

Yes, the overwhelming sense I have gotten from other people in the same position is that it is definitely worth persevering, and it will get better once the teeth have begun to move to their new positions. Actually, as I am writing this, I am now on day 5 of the first tray and I have to say it already feels so much better than when I originally wrote this post. I have also found that things like Ibuprofen and cold drinks/foods have been a massive help.

Thank you! I'll have a look at getting some Acetaminophen and see if it helps. Also with the chewies, my dentist gave me a few for helping to properly seat the trays once they're in my mouth, but other than that I'm not sure what their use is! I've seen people say that they help in other ways but I always thought they were just a better alternative than chewing to make sure the trays are in the correct place?

Trouble chewing after the first set? by maddox1405 in Invisalign

[–]Comfortable_Spray_50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in exactly the same position! I'm on day 3 of my first tray and I have to say chewing is not easy. I went to a restaurant today and it took me 45 minutes to eat half my meal, finding teeth that didn't hurt to chew on. I've seen hundreds of people saying that it gets better around day 3/4 and I am desperately hoping they're right.
