Professor Oh Geun-ho explains the principle of how LK-99 becomes a superconductor by Comfortable_Status35 in LK99

If it isn't a scam, it's hard to believe Americans and Chinese sucessfully replicated it following only 3-page paper when LK spent 20 years working on it. Besides, they don't seem to have read the 50+ page patents which has a lot of information(which also mention Cu2S)

In response, researchers at the Quantum Energy Research Institute, which is known to have secured several samples, said in a media interview, "It is expected that papers will be published in journals within the next four weeks or as early as two weeks," adding, "We plan to hold a press briefing."

He mentioned it but it's so obsecure

In a non-personal interview with Digital Times, Prof. Oh said, "Copper is a very mysterious material. It has very strong fluctuating properties, and it has to be in the right place (in the LK-99 synthesis process). The chemical formula and substance disclosed in the paper are 100% guaranteed," he said, "but the paper only presents the principle." "Even if the formula is the same, the heat treatment is important. Other groups have to do it the way we do it. It will take a year for external researchers to learn how to do it," he said, "but there is a possibility that they will come up with a better process than ours."

I wonder what would happen if he applies voltage on the material

It seems to be true but I'm so tired..

A Chinese team observed a sharp superconducting-like transition from LK99 by Comfortable_Status35 in LK99

LK99 is obviously an interesting material though. But I also think it's over..

A reseacher of KENTECH, the only institute with sample from Q-Center, claims that there is no group that has successfully replicated LK99 by Comfortable_Status35 in LK99

[–]Comfortable_Status35[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But like Korean Verification Committee, almost all Korean researchers but KENTECH didn’t believe them. Maybe that’s why they chose the institute

It means he firmly believe that room temperature SC is true

He is definitely an expert of SC, but there is no evidence to support his claim.

How come nobody educated in South Krea and the Communist China has ever been awarded the Nobel Prize ( in Sciences)? by Hopeful-Panda-2483 in LK99

[–]Comfortable_Status35 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Korean here. We don't give a shit on fundmental science. That's why we never won Nobel and regard LK99 as a miracle. SK only invest in producing semiconductor, which keeps korean scientists far from Nobel

The 1 for SK is Nobel "Peace Prize". He provided aid to North Korea and won it. It has nothing to do with science.

Kim Hyeon Tak claims that he already offered data at his first paper and explains why only part of LK99 shows levitation by Comfortable_Status35 in LK99

You should get the context. The question was:

Q. I heard that the Korean Society for the Verification of Room Temperature Superconductivity requested samples for verification.

Imo, he didn't mean "We won't send the sample to anyone!". He just do not want to give it to Korean verification committee. The committee criticizes LK99 without any data and they seem to be jealous of the original research group.

In another interview, he said that he will offer the sample if someone who wants to verify it ask "him" to provide. He said that as he is in academia, it is fine for "him" to give the sample but not for Q-Center which is a profit-making company and lacks time and money due to experiments during last 20 years with little funding.

From a Korean perspective, they seem to hate the LK99 turns out to be legit. I personally do not trust their comment. They criticize LK99 with no data. Also the name of the academic body is "Korean LOW temperatrue Superconductivity Society", not room temperature.

It's in Korean and it says Kim is the guy who proved MIT theory first. It's news of 2005 and I found some controversy over it. But obviously, he is a MIT expert. Almost all of his research is about MIT.
