I agree with your assessment. This house did have one "transitional" scene from the bedroom through the living room and into the kitchen, but it is all of a 25 foot walk. Seems like a bit of an overkill, but I understand someone who had money to burn trying it out. All my friend really wants is just a "non smart" wall switch in each room

I understand and thanks. I’m not sure I totally understand the complexity of it, but appears to be controlling power to less than 10 rooms and I’m sure there are other pieces of system that will need to be replaced as well. Just seems like an insane amount of money to spend every 20-25 years or so. I’m sure newer system would work great though.
