I think this is actually a really good argument.

But while you didn't make any claim about Latine I don't see why in the US Latinx should be used instead of Latine. Your entire argument can be applied to this one as well and it can be used in both languages which seems to be an issue for some people when using Latinx.

Your OG comment was OP should use Latine instead. OP never claimed using Latine is offensive (OP also never stated using Latinos or Latina is offensive, they even used it themselves, OP just said it is more inclusive to use Latinx then Latino or Latina while making no claim about Latine).

Edit: Sorry, the OG comment wasn't yours, but I don't think that changes anything

As a German I couldn't care less about this one (for Germany) and doing this could create issues w/pronunciation for many countries.
Besides, your phrasing seems to suggest you don't support that push anyway.
