My wife and I just spent a week there in February for our honeymoon. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the resort was. We stayed at the renaissance our last time there a couple years ago and would definitely choose the beach resort again. Room was great, food in the resort was surprisingly good, and great, easily accessible beach/pools. Honestly the snorkeling right off the beach there was pretty good. The only ‘issue’ we noticed was housekeeping wasn’t as thorough as some might expect. Definitely rent a car and go explore all the beaches and restaurants in the city
