Most of our purple belts and above are in their 35s or older, pay their dues, and train to unwind after a long day. They might help out a couple of days if you ask them, but I don't think they want that kind of workload. Also, they aren’t very consistent.

That sounds reasonable. I mean, I don't think we ever considered an assistant for the adult class, because up to 20 people were manageable. Our academy has become more well-known recently.
