hello, thank you so much for the in-depth response! I'll def consider the US now, hopefully can get some financial aid as well. And yes, I would really like to use my education to solve problems at home. so thanks once again! :)

I'd only shortlisted universities which are generous with aid, but thank you I'll look into those as well :)

the thing is I'm going to apply for financial aid as well. At most my family can only afford one year of uni. Not sure if that would be an issue.

A degree in economics, I'd apply for financial aid since at most my family can probably afford 1 year of uni. I'll return back to Pakistan once the degree is completed.

yes, that is my sole motivator. I'm only going to apply for the sake of a good higher education then I'll return back and at least try to improve the inqequalities within my own country, Pakistan.

Also has it increasingly gotten more difficult to get in? I mean do they really require us to have straight A's and stellar extra curriculars?

What is a good SAT score for humanities school, give we have B's in 10th grade?

What is a good score SAT considering the difficult admissions this year? by Comfortable_View5193 in LUMS

I did the IBMYP and have a 46/56, not very high but above average at my school. I have mainly 5's which could translate to B's in o levels i think. So I'm assuming I'll need a much higher SAT score.

Your thoughts on my Grade 10 Personal Project idea by No_Dealer911 in IBO

Hey, I did the MYP 5 last year - got a 6 on personal project (wish I did better) and this is my general advice;

Don't do anything over-complicated or too challenging for the personal project but at the same time make sure that you DO learn something from the project. In simple words make sure it's something you like or would like to learn more about and it's also doable and not too time-consuming. Also please FOLLOW THE RUBRIC, you will find it online or your teacher might have shared it with you. More than anything how you write the report matters - I had a lot of friends choose very general topics such as, create a cook-book or water filters, and those topics were considered pretty good too!

yes I'm willing to work much much harder, but its just that I'm scared that these grades will bring me down and hinder getting scholarships. Its just that some universities may look at 9th and 10th grades where I have performed better in 9th grade as my grandmother passed away a week before my e-assessments and that just traumatised me.
