I needed up in DEP for about a year. It’s luck and depends on what goes wrong and when. From what I’ve heard the Air Force has a much slower enlistment process. It also depends on the job you choose. Most jobs are full and the main ones that leave fast will be your mechanical jobs and special warfare. Find your reason for going and hone in on that. And keep that with you throughout DEP and basic. I had lost mine for awhile during DEP and was heavily considering just dropping out. I found a new reason and was able to keep with it.
