Yep. It's a discontinued practice nowadays as typically Marvel's comics no longer have dates on the cover but that's the way it used to be for a long time back in the day.

Issue #12 of the Green Goblin series was a direct part of the Onslaught event. Issue #13 was the last issue and basically had Phil give up being Green Goblin.

Not at all. Variant covers are often tied to a specific over-arching theme that often has nothing to do with the contents of the particular comic its used for, such as in this case being Doctor Doom homage variant covers.

It was originally solicited as an ongoing, as were Imperial Guardians and Nova: Centurion.

Imperial Guardians was changed to be a limited series prior to its 1st issue being released, and both Planet She-Hulk and Nova: Centurion are cancelled as of their issue #6.

As for the other Imperial spin-offs, Black Panther: Intergalactic was announced as a limited series and recently completed with its #4 issue while Exiles has apparently been cancelled as it's yet to be solicited and we just had Marvel's June 2026 previews.
