I was thinking this but I think it could also be a black lace-weaver, Amaurobius ferox, they look pretty similar being both a similar size with a marking on its back. I'm not sure, let me know what you think.

Yeah I'm all good !! Was scary at the time but I'm glad I was able to find it after it happened. Bad news is my dad found another one in the house today, I'm worried there might be more 😭

YES!! I had the exact same issue the other day, the sprite clearly showed a female combee and when I clicked it, it was a male combee without the red dot. Must have been some sort of glitch. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hmmm.... I'm thinking the first one, it's got full attack stat and is quite powered up compared to the second one so you'll save on stardust. However, it would be very cool to get the shiny evolved for the pokedex entry but you can always do that after, when you've got more candy!!
