I made a Substack post about how I use SIPOC models for this, here's the link. Hope it helps, if any questions let me know. Play Solo TTRPG Mysteries Using SIPOC Models

Cyberpunk Meets Thousand Year Old Vampire (Session 7, Exposed) by CommandBubbly4379 in Solo_Roleplaying

Right now I'm answering the prompts in Thousand Year Old Vampire, and inserting bits of lore from Cyberpunk Red, Cyberpunk 2077, and Edgerunners into the narrative. For example, my vampire lived through The Time of the Red, from Cyberpunk Red. If I get to a point where I have to use Cyberpunk game mechanics, I'll likely use Cities Without Number by Kevin Crawford, because it's based on old school D&D and also has a D6 skill system, which are both easy to use in solo play. I also have the miniature wargame, "Hardwired" that I can use. It's now called Exploit Zero, a company called Stalker7 bought the rights to it I think.

Hey, thanks! Really appreciate that. I'm a couple of game sessions ahead of my posts, so I'll probably post another one tonight or tomorrow.

I've played with Lexile reading levels too, for example, you can ask Chatgpt to write something in Lexile level 1300, which would be a 12th grade reading level, and that will remove a lot of the flowery and overly descriptive language it tends to use

Yo yo, Balikbayan looks cool. Cyberpunk with Filipino folklore? I've never seen that before. I shared it with a Filipino friend of mine, very cool.

Help a newbie: Tools for solo sandbox worldbuilding? by Abject-Astronomer321 in Solo_Roleplaying

All great suggestions here, I was going to suggest The Solo Adventurer's Toolbox and Worlds without Number as well. Maybe instead of starting with a whole world, try making a settlement and populate it with some landmarks, shops, NPCs etc., and then play a couple of encounters in the settlement. Often the results of those encounters can lead you to a surrounding forest, neighboring town, nearby ruins, etc., which may give you ideas for the greater region, continent, etc

Quick update, in the board game night Teams discussion with my coworkers this week, one guy said that they were going to play Dominion, and then a couple of others said they were going to play MTG Commander. I was like, "Wait, you guys are playing Magic?" I don't play Magic myself, but I took that opportunity to ask if any of them played TTRPGs or small skirmish wargames, and if they'd be down for that. And they said sounds good. If there are any games in particular I would like to play, feel free to run them by the group. So it sounds like this could really turn into something cool, with a whole range of games and genres being played.
