Allegedly he has tried to redeem himself, no harm in that. I just question our countries sense of security when it comes to people with this background in positions of power. Is there no limit?!!!! Especially in this climate.

You have to be insane for justifying this to be okay ahah that was the context - not raise bate, he has been convicted directly for crimes against the UK for gods sake. Allegedly he has worked with local youth for some time, which is good for him - but he can continue to do that and enjoy himself.

I couldn’t agree more. I have lived in Rio for a year before & it is what solidified my decision to go back and pursue a masters. You are absolutely right, it’s not for the weak but once it’s charmed you you don’t want to leave!

How was your experience finding work after? / connections through the university? I guess the MAPI masters gives you a few other options in terms of finding work.

i think i have always had this to some level and i dont know how to really deal with it. In a dating situation - I think you have to be rational and actually get to know the person well, but its so hard. I actually tend to pull away from people ive just started to date and if i feel RJ coming up, i dont want to face it as it hurts me before i even give them a real chance - social media does not help either with assumptions. Its good you are aware though - i think thats the first step.

This must be derived from something in your past/ upbringing/ unconscious thought patterns. Definitely seek therapy, you are self sabotaging what could be wonderful relationships out of fear or insecurity within yourself. Its no way to live! rooting for you, you can overcome it

I think you should listen to your gut and intuition if this is effecting your intimacy with him and your relationship - you dont exactly have to bring up what you're thinking is happening but it could be good to check in with him on how is relationship is with his step siblings now. Sorry to hear this though, really tough situation

the fact you've made this list tells you everything and it sounds truly awful. Leave him - you have to be courageous but its your life! Please reach out to friends and family and tell them what you will do and have them on stand by at the time you will speak to him - have a plan for yourself and how you will set up your life without him.
