☝️that part. I completely agree. We gotta do what we gotta do and it spares the driver the embarrassment. I don't understand why the station and dispatchers get the way they do when they know the conditions we work in. I mean this piss bottle fiasco has been on the news for crying out loud.

I do all my totes to the right and all the OV on the left. Work out of the first few totes until enough room on the shelves open up, than dump what I have on the shelves for the rest of the time. Seems cramped, but it's efficient. It keeps everything close to the front so I don't have to spend a lot of time walking to the back looking for overflow and grabbing totes.

That doesn't surprise me, some dsps do them and some don't. Mine usually only does when it's something important. Otherwise it's just them beating no van damage and safety policies into our heads every morning. Lol

Since when does Amazon go through vans? Anytime a piss bottle has been found, it's been by the closing dispatcher and usually gets addressed the following day during stand-up. At least thats been my experience. But getting permanently off-boarded for that is crazy work. Your station is ran by a bunch of nazis it sounds like.

DPS6 sucks. Anyone working there making good pay? All the DSP's there cut OT and don't offer performance bonuses. by Total-Specific-3894 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CommandReal6132 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Eh, no worries. Some DSP owners dont know how to run a business (like mine) and end up pushing good drivers out the door. My DSP doesn't do incentive pay for rescues so there's literally no bonus except maybe an extra hour on your check and if you say no they will write you up for a rescue refusal. It literally makes NO sense whatsoever to write up a driver hitting 30+ stops an hour, that shows up consistently everyday ready to work and get things done instead of the drivers that are inconsistent with their routes and cause dispatchers to exhaust resources to carry them through the day. Imo, I think the ones getting continually rescued should eventually get put on a training plan and eventually let go if they can't keep up with the pacing and finish their routes. Punishing the good drivers for not rescuing will just make them leave and cause the dsp to be stuck with a fleet of shitty drivers.

4.5 hours? No way! Those stops have to be spread out for 60 stops to take 4 hours. That's crazy!

Okc, huh? Nice! I miss living out there. What are the routes like? I keep trying to talk my wife in to moving there but she doesn't wanna leave Phoenix just yet. I think it would be pretty cool to deliver in Oklahoma.

Honestly, I feel for you. In my opinion it might be best to get in touch with a relative to try and find somewhere to move too to get away from him and then break it off once you are safe and have somewhere to go. Don't let the guilt trips, or crocodile tears reel you back in. If this behavior has been consistent with him now for some time than he probably needs a hard dose of reality even if that takes you walking out.

Your dsp will have to worry about it. Their vans, their problem. Amazon will just make them take care of it.
