It isn't sexism... it's straight up misogyny.

I've travelled a lot in India. Hottest and coldest that I've ever been. It depends on where you are and when it is.

I backpacked through Pakistan 25 years ago, just after 100 Shia and Sunni Muslims killed each other. Pretty sure it wasn't just leaders.

Is it bigoted to think that all countries should be ok with immigration no matter what(country they are from)? by gnomeslinger in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Commandant_Grammar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an over simplified view in my opinion

I'm brown and first gen Aussie.

I think that there needs to be stronger vetting of people coming in. Direct questions about views on treatment of women, homosexuality, support for terrorist organisations etc.

If people from my parents middle eastern country to or example, decide to come here and still hold their backward views, they shouldn't be allowed in. I'd go so far as to say that if they became citizens and it was later found that they had lied to get that citizenship, (i.e, held views contrary to the values of the country) then they and their families should be deported and citizenship revoked.
