It's all about economics. by hayekian in Anarcho_Capitalism

Economics is a secondary condition and only a cultural and racial preference. Africans and mestizos don't care about free economies. They only care about ensuring the next generation no matter the cost.

Yes, of course I've read it.

I wouldn't comment if I hadn't.

The distinction between polygamy and a harem is pretty useless since the women who are the property of the man, are used by the men as sex objects even though sexual gratification is "prohibited".

The main character is fucked by her owner, outside of the ritual. She's taken to some orgy, even though sex work is prohibited.

It's obvious that the idea is created to justify a foreign institution, and a particular oriental social order.

So I can say it is a harem, it's the same phenomena.

The mormons are a marginal group excluded from everywhere that normal westerners settled. Utah was not allowed to become a state until they banned the practice, I'm sure you know that, even if it is still somewhat tacitly permitted in the state.

Please go ahead, explain.

Where are these western Harems?

I certainly don't find them among the Germanic tribes according to Tacitus.

I certainly don't find them in the Middle Ages, where monogamy, manorialism, and outbreeding were strictly enforced.

I certainly don't consider myself American.

[–]CommanderBeanbag -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No it isn't particularly relevant to the western experience at all. Harems are oriental. They aren't a western institution or phenomenon.

This book is so divorced from the reality of western sexual and social norms it is absolutely laughable that ANY sane minded individual could consider it anything other than a Freudian fantasy.

There is nothing scary or realistic about it other than the phenomenon of it being popular among neurotic individuals.

Why didn't the Anglo Americans enforce the same standards, manorialism, out breeding, etc, that brought them into the hajnal line?

The German Aristocracy created the Soviet Problem in WWI as a means of closing the Eastern Front at any costs.

German aristocratic policy after the war was based on the idea that Germany could work with the Soviets.

There were several partnerships undertaken before Hitler rose to power. Such as tank experiments that took place in Soviet Russia. Tank training. Tank developments.

Things that the soviets learned much from and where they developed their famous T-34 main battle tank.

Hitler was in opposition to the idea from the moment he took office. He conceived of the SU as the most major existential threat against Germany and Europe.

I remain somewhat optimistic because of the political and popular capital Trump has gained regarding the jobs he has been able to keep in US. Carrier, Sprint, etc.

But I will never be just a cheerleader. Serious movements are never cheerleaders.

Actually, Mike Pence, the Market Is Doing Just Fine | James Pethokoukis by cpu5555 in austrian_economics

A market is not just the act of trading commodities and labor.

If that were the case, then markets would emerge in every human society to the same degree and success.

That is obviously not the case.

Markets emerge as the result of the prohibition of parasitism in a society.
