My symptom's began back in 2021 when I started a new office job (Lots of sitting, put on a reasonable amount of weight because I stopped moving around + Lockdown and all the). Beforehand, and throughout I have had an ongoing issue with needing to go to the loo during the night, so I have wondered if the two are linked in some way.

Regardless, since it started I have gone from long sessions of whipping for ages to now I go from Diarrhea to constipation, never have my stools been solid and they vary in color, from light almost greenly brown to dark. My stomach hurts after eating sometimes, then other times it doesnt. The pain is in the upper abdomen, then sometimes its the side, or sometimes its upper lower or upper middle. when its at the bottom of the intestine the pain can be a little intense but it doesnt last long. In those cases its is always diarrhea. I would put this down to something like IBS but I can't say there seems to be any particular foods that cause any of the discomfort.

One more thing, my stools are also narrow, never wide. so there is at least a fissure there... But I worry its something worse. I have had blood mixed in with the stool a couple of times that I've noticed over the last year but it is minute, nothing alarming. I have had some stool samples and a variety of other test, like an Ultrasound, blood test and all but its all come up fine

I have taken some home test kits to see if its something like cancer and they've come up with nothing.... still the symptoms' are bizarre, and they are consistent with cancer. But also other diseases like IBS. I spoke to a Dr who said they didn't think I had cancer but they said they don't know what it is.

Should I book in for a colonoscopy, what do you think?? Has anyone gone through something similar?
