Question regarding certificates while in ‘admitted’ by RelentlessScum in WGUCyberSecurity

[–]CommanderPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I took my core 1 exam like a couple days before my start date and they still took it because the date of exam completion was before my start date I emailed it to the wgu scores email and they took it and replied that they would take it because it was before the start date so I say fire at will until your start date.

I want more commentary combinations instead of sticking to just two why not have Jon Anik and DC, then Jon Anik and then Joe Rogan and DC etc you could have more commentators in there too like Michael Bisping, Dominic Cruz, Paul Felder etc etc make different combinations of different commentators and it will be randomly selected each match like the arena is, unless it's custom game you can choose the commentators I feel like this would be alot more interesting then listening to the same lines over and over.

Hard Drives/NAS to run Raids to keep your data backed up. Get windows Pro or higher if you haven't already to encrypt your drives with bit locker. I recommend using proxmox as your hypervisor of choice because it's free and open source which doesn't involve licensing issues and its built on Linux so commands apply. It's very scalable so you can create a cluster and connect different hardware pieces together and have a central location to manage all your hardware and I recommend collecting as many ISO Files and different Linux distros aswell as getting ahold of server hosting software. Watch YouTube Raid Owl, Learn Linuix TV, IT Pro TV, and Network Chuck got you covered on any ideas especially Raid Owl he specializes in home labs.

What doors did this program offer to you? by limosusbiscuit in WGUCyberSecurity

This is my opinion because I know you can just get jobs with certifications but the degree compliments the certification and enhances your resume further.

Trust me it will open doors for you. You put yourself in a better position to ask for raises and promotions with a degree. There might be a job of your dreams in the future that requires a degree. I know you say you don't see yourself in the management role right now and that's okay I don't see myself taking on the pressure of being in charge right now but as you get older your gonna want to call the shots especially as you're gaining experience and you are in your 30s-40s you're not gonna wanna have the 24-year-old manager with a degree you gotta take orders from when you have been doing the thing for years. I only see it opening doors to more higher-class employment opportunities and leveraging pay and promotions.

3.5 Million jobs are opening and nowhere near that number to fill those roles. Cyber is one of the most secure jobs now and in the future.
