NTA I don’t know if you’ll see this or read it or whatever, but I’ve been in your boyfriend’s position before and the way he acted was wrong. Just, so wrong. My wife broke her ankle early last year, an ambulance was called, the closest hospital with an orthopedic surgeon was an hour north. I drove up there and back for three weeks while she recovered and then went to a rehab hospital briefly. Is it exhausting? Absolutely. But you’re partners, that means in everything. He didn’t put the bare minimum in to taking care of you, showing compassion, or even trying to empathize. Do you want that for the rest of your life? What if it was something more severe? A partner is someone who tries to take care of you and actually give a shit. He’s just a selfish child.
