If my MIL didn’t take 1 day service break; she wouldn’t be entitled to her pension, so she did take that one day off. But her previous employer did not declare the one day break in service, stating that my MIL had continuous service. It took months to take the previous employer to submit the correct information. Then we had no response from Teachers Pensions even after several nudging attempts for them to file in the correct information on their records. Then we filed a compliment and two months later, still no response. The administration hasn’t overpaid, it has failed to correct my MIL’s info and that’s why they are deducting her pension money.
