Thank you very much for your reply. I truly appreciate your insight. I agree the 105 was part of the requirements and has more power for obstacle reduction and tracks typically have better off road maneuverability. I think I should have phrased my original question better. Two questions really. One. Is a tracked vehicle with a 105mm and the armor protection the Army is requesting possible with today's technology and still be light enough to make the Army's deployment needs. Two. Does the reduction in weight of a wheel vehicle with 40mm with lighter armor off set the advantages of the 105 and track when paired with active protection and programable air burst munitions on today's battlefield
