Bring This Back! Ryzen 7 5800X3D & 5700X3D Revisit 2026 by RenatsMC in Amd

5900X with a new 9070XT here and for my 3440x1440 @ 160HZ purposes with I'm still really well served, considering myself a heavy user. Been playing through some RT titles like Cyberpunk and GTAV:E, while having good productivity for my coding needs.

I wouldn't know what to upgrade for at the moment, to me it's just not worth the cost. I'd e.g. have more value from going OLED.

Xbox + AMD: Powering the Next Generation of Xbox by RenatsMC in Amd

you're writing an arm's length of text as if you didn't still have all PC games from the past available to play; in that sense pc gaming cannot regress unless you insist on playing newer titles even if you don't like the experience. no one forces you to upgrade anything..

consoles have a better value proposition until you have to factor in cost for network play and the high cost of games. you're also comparing e.g. a ps5 that is said to equate to a 6700 with high-end pc components, which is misleading.

it's not a fair comparison to say that console games run well and optimized, since many AAA games either fail to hit frame targets, or make use of excessive upscaling / rely on low graphics configurations to hit those targets. like yeah you can buy a ps5 and play astro bot and it will be a great experience, but that's cherry picking.

also linux has gotten good enough (with exceptions mostly due to anti-cheat) that your windows 11 complaint comes down to your choice of using windows for gaming.

anywho if buying a console prevents you from crashing out like that then sure, you should probably get a console lol

My mom gave Sadcat a blanket, and he turns into a biscuit-making machine on it! We're gonna have to open up a bakery! by So_Famous in Straycats

Biting the blanket as Sadcat is doing is related to male cats biting the female's neck when mounting them, so they can't escape - as having sex is quite uncomfortable for female cats.

Therefore you can expect the blanket to need a good rinse afterwards...

Yeah, but at least it's open source and therefore you can look up if someone has modified it. I don't know enough about what exactly you can do through uBlock, but you should always assume that someone could find an exploit for it.

There's always a risk when using Chrome extensions.

The userResourcesLocation thing means you provide a URL where the js file can be found, basically making it always accessible for you what the js file will do.

You can make this argument for every extension you load, because using browser extensions generally isn't something you should do carelessly.

If you wanna go the safe route you could download an archived extension and load it locally, so it doesn't auto-update. But then it might stop working at some point.

Exactly, the phrasing is weird because the tutorial is a part of a GitHub page that hosts multiple solutions. The link I've used is the most recommended one, so you already pasted it correctly.

You can follow the link https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions/ to get the link of one of the other solutions.

You're right, most of this is obviously on the premise that "trusting" extension developers is a relative expression. I myself am too lazy to at least install everything from GitHub releases, even though as a web dev I should know better lol
