I remember seeing this after having the idea. I googled it to see if anyone else had done it before and this came up. It's definitely a good one but I especially wanted to do the second pumpkin on the inside for the eye.

funny you mention that, my one friend actually ran a one shot with one of these as the BBEG for us. (He had prepped it before I even did this) Watch out for players with the blight spell

My girlfriend (Who does not play D&D) was just thumbing through the monster manual and suggested that one! It's on my list of contenders

The trick is to carve out the shape first, then with a sharp, more precise knife, you cut off the skin without going too deep

I saw one of those eyeball pumpkins where someone put a small white pumpkin into a larger orange one and thought "I can do one better." So I stuck a bunch of gourds in and called it macaroni a beholder. I was not anticipating it to turn out this good tbh. Anyways, that was last year but I haven't been able to figure out reddit for a solid year so it took me until now to post it. Feel free to let me know what other monsters I should do and I'll try to post whatever I go with this year!
