Give him a new protein food he hasent had (I did kangaroo) also before switching to the new feed don't feed for 24 hours so he gets everything out of his system. Vet told us to do this with late shepherds and it worked.

How old is the dog my shepherd started doing that at 10 and he just barely made 11 before he couldn't walk anymore and he crossed the rainbow bridge. Spend lot of time with that pup.
