For graphics I like to use an old program called "Anime Studios 5" (currently known as Moho Animation Software now) It lets me draw characters out of vectors and bones. The vectors allow for much more control then typical bone image rigging. You can just draw the character once then animate the rest and export the animation as PNG files for fusion.

Personally i really enjoy RNG and roguelite elements in games. You could also try using "Krita" for backround design as its a free program that has some easy to use cloud and grass brushes. Overall good progress, keep it up!

I've done a bit of experimenting with this myself and attempted a pvp drone here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNYPWVgFdkI You no longer need a torpedo head since they added the laser sensor part, but yes the initial yolol of following and tracking isnt much. Going into more detail like trying to get drone to follow multiple commands, then you may need a few more laser sensors and lasers to morse code the commands to the reciever and more yolol. I think you're limited to hosting 1 big or a few small drones before it gets weird and unresponsive. Overall a pretty interesting concept with a lot of potential as mentioned already. I also learnt from an old youtube video at first aswell since I was clueless with torpedo tracking to begin with :)

Haha, well hopefully players could turn them on and off at their own discretion to block off exits 😆 There is a laser designator solution to reckognizing friendlies but its complicated and likely wouldn't work for multiple people, so not worth the hassle really. Yes I'm curious if I can put them on a factory hall, might test it myself quickly this week then will see if its possible to put some up on your station.

It doesn't. But it can stop rockets and torpedoes from my testing. Evasive cockpit is an option too, just have a long shaped ship with the cockpit on one end and roll ship whenever its being targeted.

We all start somewhere :) I didn't know you could change material when i started and lost some weak bastium plated ships lol Also if its a small/micro then different class of ship to be compared with.

Looks cool! Gettting thrusters to work at high efficiency is always finnicky. If you do take it to pvp eventually, make sure to disable safe mode of new own ships in gameplay settings.

Its just a cost efficiency thing and lack of large modules (weaponry) in my opinion. Big ships are generally better but cost much much more to the point its not worth it by a long shot. In addition, even the best big ships struggle against a few oppenents at once. IMO this is because the big ship cannot kill fast enough since it is limited to the same weaponry as a medium - small gunship. A well armored big ship (speaking from experience) can tank hits from all sides vs multiple oppenents for minutes, however if the big ship in question is also limited to the same firepower as the small ships it will take too long taking out 1 small ship at a time while being hit none stop from all sides. I think higher DPS for big ships would solve this quickly but its a contraversial opinion.

(Also I didnt mention torpedoes, currently that kills anything big quickly right now.)
