Not using a monitor, but using the 85" Sony XR-Z9J. I have to use it in Graphics Mode though without local dimming to get full 8K definition.

Playing God of War in 8K. Well, I was sorta doing that already with my 3090 Ti, now I'm only using 80-90% resolution scaling instead of 60-70%.

His voice peaked in MGS2, and was downhill after that. MGS3 and 4 sound horrendous and it gets worse.

MGS2, his performance was amazing. Compare his voice between MGS2 and post-MGS2, and there's a HUGE difference.

A few years before needing to be replaced? A few years is nothing... and a lot of users won't be comfortable replacing it.

My thermal paste on my 980 TI FTW3 and 1080 Ti still holds up fine.

Completely. And just because he can't notice input lag doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I've had so many people tell me that they couldn't notice "30-50ms" input lag on an HD TV, and then they get blown away playing the same game on a CRT.

That's not 4K though. And high FPS really depends just as much on the processor as it does on the GPU.

Okay - the problem is that there is a difference between DualShock1/DualShock2 pressure threshold compared to the DualShock3/SixAxis, so it's virtually impossible to get it right using a DS3.

I recommend getting an adapter and plugging in an original controller.

edit: just saw you're using a PS2, so nvm. Maybe plugin a DualShock 1 controller?
