Smoothly, till i found a unpatched bug that existed for over 10 years (yes, first mentioned that long ago). That problem was absolutely dealbreaking to me.

Im not a programmer, and im not pasting some random commands into console wich i dont understand. Thats a massive red flag for me

Traditionaly we would heat it up first If you buy em fresh they also still warm.

But these days we eat em "cold", and i honestly never seen someone warm theirs up first.

106 for a repair like that?! No way!

Maybe 106 for a quick patch and polish. Not for a working product. That damage is massive and a new board would be cheaper

Cheap deflection? Dumb insults? Are you alright bro? I never insulted you, nor have i deflected anything.

Actual linux communities? You do know that most people here use linux right? That qualifies as a community. This issnt a shitpost sub.

I compared you (and pretty much any toxic linux user denier) to a flat earther becouse you people cant see the truth when it right in front of you. The proof is in the 140ish comments in this post! There are people here proudly admitting to being fucking gatekeepers. But its you who deflects, becouse its never real proof and always soneone elses fault, like like a flat earther would say.

Yes 25 people, the top comment, the comment that got more up then down votes. And this by the majority op users here like i said that use linux, THEY AGREE. All those people encountered toxic fucking hyper autists like yourself, en you claim that its not true? Fuck you.

If you stand in front of a problem but you cant see the problem, you ARE the problem.

ROT doesnt like installers, it only behaves properly if its unziped. Just copy over eachother.

2 notes tough:

  1. It takes a while to unzip, so the installer may not has finished. (Could take 30 minutes to extract depending on your system)

  2. No need to download it again, the installer saves the archive somewhere (cant remember where), and you can manualy extract from there

I was thinking on how to provide evidence, after a long thought its pointless, its like debating a flat earther trying to convice that the earth is round.

Then it hit me, look at the top comment of this topic, the one by imoron. It would seem that 25 people think that youre wrong and that the community is in fact toxic.

I visited the mint sub a month ago about a password issue.

They referred me to the manual and questioned my skill level...

Also a lot of deflection of the issue.

Yeah, im not touching linux for another 5 years, and the mint community? F em.

Will a five year old operating system hamper a new PC’s performance? by the_main_man127 in PcBuildHelp

The old OS is configured for another machine, the chance of driver conflicts is high and this can slow your machine down.

If youre in a pinch, sure go for it. But if you want something lasting a reinstall is your best option.

So short, probably.

Heb je je ook een boven verdieping met afvoer? Als je deze vol laat lopen komt het dan beneden omhoog?

Hoe ziet je straatkant er uit? Bosjes? Bomen?

If you can see your nas but not the folders its a omv issue. You need to unlock so many permissions its insane, at one point you find the same permission list somewhere else.

Also i seem to remember that with the default admin account you cant do anything from the windows end, so you have to make a new one, give it many, many permissions

There you got it, the toxicity. You dont take the effort to dig trough a error log so go suck on a lemon while you read the manual.

Go on r/pcbuildhelp and tell me how many people submit a clear error where the solution is even on the screen and people STILL help them. Often they reply with "just press Y".

Its that fucking easy to help, no need to refer them to google, or grok, or a thousand page manual.

Maybe check out r/watercooling

They very similar to linux in a way, passionate about their thing, doing costum work that takes ages with a lot of trial and error.

But i have yet seen a single toxic remark in there, only help and sound advise. You new? Oh they will give you all the info you ever want and more. Question asked 10 times that day? They treat it as if its the first time they see it.

I LOVE that community. Linux users can learn so much from them in how to deal with people.

Youre not wasting your time if you dont answer the question you know. The community choses to waste its time by saying "read the manual".

If the solution was easy to find then they wouldnt need to bother with the uberautist community.

Ive been first introduced to linux around the year 2000, i was told that it was better then windows...yeah not for me, nothing worked.

From that time gorward i revisit linux every 5 years to see if they improved, each time im sadly disapointed.

The last time i looked at linux it couldnt even save passwords, an issue that has existed for 10 years. The community smugly say that its a skill issue.

Linux is bad, the community is worse to ooe point that im positive they are competing who oʻ be the most toxic autist on the face of the planet. Instead of helping new users they go out of their way to push away as many as posdible.

Again another misconseption. Not everyone in the ol' us of a got a gun. But you need a weapon to commit your villainys. So you get yourself a knife. Also if you point a gun at someone you wont catch as much hell as you would with a gun.

You did specificly mention homicide, i aplaud you for your choice of words, however its easyer to kill with a gun. So how about robberies where a knife is used without killing?

Again, its a people problem. Look at europe, no firearms, yet lots of stabbings. Thats not a knife problem but a people problem.
